Welcome, Spring!

An early Spring snowstorm dumped over eight inches of the white stuff on us.  My husband declared a snow day and we walked to the park that is 1/2 mile from our home.  It looked beautiful in it's blanket of white, before anyone else had trod on it.

  2. But Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early Spring! What's this world coming to when you can't even trust a Groundhog to predict the weather...

    Have A Blessed Day,

  4. Lovely photos. We got about 6". I'm not used to such a cold, snowy spring. It sure was pretty though.

  5. I live in Southern California. To see something like that we drive several miles to the mountains. Oh, it did snow in our town once in the 25 years we have lived here. I was so excited I woke my husband up to confirm it was snow. From the mid-west, I was sure he knew snow when he saw it. He looked out the window, said, "Yep, That's snow", and went back to bed. I guess one's reaction depends on one's perspective.

  6. Thank you, Viveca, Rebecca, Natalie Jo, Dawn, and Yvonne, for stopping by! This late in the year the snow doesn't last for long...the perfect guest, I guess :-) Still, spring is definitely on my mind!

  7. Such lovely pictures but completely the wrong time of year! It's so cold and snowy here in northern Britain I'm convinced we are heading for a new ice age.

  9. Beth - I'm a 73 year old crocheter and little doll lover, and I can't tell you how enthralled I am by your blog and your creations - how can I begin to tell you how wonderful it is to find these little patterns. Arthritis is going to call my stitching to a halt one of these days. I have some vintage pearl cotton that you could possibly make use of. If so, contact me at maryruth@nmax.net - have a beautiful day!!
