You're safe with me

A quiet statement of caring, to remind you that regardless of what the media reports, innumerable acts of kindness occur in our country every day.

Food pantries run by small churches that serve all, without asking their political or religious affiliation.  Groups making items for the homeless as winter sets her sights on us.   Crafters creating scarves for deployed military and caps for premature babies.  Red Cross donations during disasters for people who are perfect strangers to us.

We are not defined by hatefulness.  Wear a safety pin, so all will know they are safe with you.

  3. What a lovely post, Beth! The media does not seem to do a very good job covering the good news. I like your safety pin very much. I am going to make one now and wear it ... Thank you for inspiring us with your words as well as with your safety pin!

  4. Nice post. We do forget all the wonderful things people do. I dislike listening to the media so much. I would like to see one channel that gives nothing but good news all day long. Hugs, LJ

  7. Beth,

We all have to remind ourselves that small acts of kindness go a long way, especially for someone in need. But, even our friends and co-workers could use small kindnesses too, so you little safety pin idea in an inexpensive way to show people you care about them. I like it! If you don't mind, I might use your idea to make little Christmas gifts for my friends at work.

    1. Oh my, this idea is one that I would love to see everyone do! Please, by all means, give safety pins to anyone you want! Your note makes my day, Momma Cat :-)

I made one for my best friend visiting from Florida, and ones for my sister and sister-in-law for Christmas. Spread the word!

      warmly,

      Beth
