Felicia in her nightgown
I did work out a couple of patterns specifically for the Pocket Spirits. The nightgown above is one of them; you can download the pattern here:
Felicia in camisole and pantaloons
And also a pattern for a Victorian camisole and pantaloons. I'm sure these patterns look familiar to you, but the instructions are now specifically for the Pocket Spirit size dolls.
These dresses also fit the 16cm BJD dolls, such as Lati Yellow and Fairyland Puki Fee. For the long sleeved dresses you might want to crochet the sleeves a bit longer than the pattern calls for.

ReplyDeleteHi GeeGee,
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you email me at dollmaker46203[at]gmail.com and we can work out the problem you are having with the head. I'd love to empower you to make your own doll; then you can make them to be anything you want, which is really a lot of fun!
Beth
OH my goodness but they are all FANTASTIC!!! The dolls themselves, their little faces, those detailed outfits- just Wonderful!!!

ReplyDeleteI love them!! ^_^
Hi Beth, I too have a question about one of your stitches. I am working your Victorian nightgown and the stitch is "Two DC Cluster", after you "pull thread through two loops on hook, yo," (do you insert the hook back into the same chain and work another dc) to get the 3 on a hook? Sounds silly I really want to work it so I get work as nice as yours.
ReplyDeleteThanks

Hi Connie,
ReplyDeleteYou are exactly right! I left that part out :-( Thank you for the catch, and I will update the pattern.
Beth
Hi Beth!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your blog and the dolls, clothes and pets patterns.I hope to live as long as your beautiful grandmother--making and playing with dolls!
The Annie Potter books Little Darlings and Victorian Little Darlings are available on Ebay. I found them this morning. The seller knows Annie Potter & dug up some of the Victorian ones-I think there are 8 or 9 copies left.(Not connected in any way to the seller --just a crochet pattern collector!)

Colleen, thank you so much for your good words, and I'm glad to hear that these delightful leaflets are still out there and available, if you look :-)
ReplyDeleteBeth
Hi ,thanks Collen for letting us know about the seller on Ebay, i would love to get this leaflet. Beth,i love the colors that you have choosen. what brand of no 8 pearl cotton do you use? i just love the colors. thanks ~Anne~
ReplyDeleteHi Anne,
ReplyDeleteI like to use DMC perle cotton; however, I found a site that sells a perle cotton with the same DMC color numbers, but I don't think it is DMC. It is less expensive, and it works up the same as DMC. Here is the link to the site:

Hi Beth, thanks! i checked out the siteand the no 8 pearl thread is on sale right now for .89 cents. even with international shipping it's still a good price. the only other pearl cotton that i found was at Mary Maxim.it's Cebelia by DMC ($4.79) and i still would have to pay shipping .threadart is probably my best option. thanks again! ~Anne~
