Furniture for Wren's Nest

Wren's Nest now has furniture!  Most of it was made with cardboard, foam, and fabric.   None of it costly, nor requiring power tools.  If you don't mind getting your hands sticky with glue, this may be the dollhouse project for you :-)

Bedroom with bed and nightstand

Kitchen table and chairs, mostly from craft sticks, spools, and wood plaques

Cozy living room with overstuffed chairs and footstool

A picture tutorial for making this furniture is available on my flickr site, and here at Cardboard Cottage Furniture.  Just a few little touches to finish this up, an embroidered felt rug for the living room, a cross stitch sampler to hang on the wall, popsicle peg racks for the kitchen and bedroom.  My Pocket Pixies are happy with their home, and so am I :-)

  15. Hi Catarina,

Thank you for your good words :-)

If you cannot find the small spools, then buy a dowel rod that is about 3/8 inch in diameter (they usually come in 36 inch lengths) and cut about a 1/2 inch off and use this. It will work just as well as a spool :-)

    3/8 inch = 9.5 mm
    1/2 inch = 13 mm

  16. This is so cute, and I love all your other patterns as well. Thank you for sharing them with us.

I have a suggestion for another dog pattern that you could make. My friend has a black cocker spaniel, and I would love to make her a crocheted one, but cannot find one I really like. Your designs are so cute, and I was wondering if you could make a cocker spaniel one by any chance.

    Hugs

  17. Thank you Christine, for your good words :-)

I have a Cavalier King Charles spaniel pattern that you might be able to use for your friend. Slight changes may be all it needs to become a Cocker spaniel.
