They look great can't wait to try making it.
ReplyDeleteBeth, looks like they are coming along great. I am, of course, partial to the crocheted one since I can't knit, that two needle thing is beyond me. From your sketch, I like the size too. I've been needing something new to crochet!
ReplyDeleteYeah!!! can't wait to see it!! (the result, of course)

Thank you so much, Lizzie, Kate, and Rux!
ReplyDeleteBeth
So exciting to see these come "alive"!
ReplyDeleteBeth,
ReplyDeleteI love your work! How do you do the eyes if I may ask? Felt and ink?
Thank you!
Michelle
Hey talented lady, I am very excited to see the finished results. They look great so far.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great words, Anita, Michelle, and Joyce :-)
ReplyDeleteMichelle, I used white cotton broadcloth that I ironed fusible interfacing to the back of, for the the eyes. I drew them in pencil and outlined them with either a Micron black pen or a black Sharpie fine felt pen. I painted the iris's with acrylic paint and a very small (size 2) shader brush. The eye shine was applied with a toothpick.
