Procrastination 101

There comes a time when even the most dedicated procrastinator has to do something about the mess!  I was getting perilously close to not being able to reach my work table, as boxes continued to mount in the room.  Soooo.....

After two days of work!  This is about as good as it gets.  The yarn is now out of the shipping boxes and either onto shelves or in plastic containers, and I haven't seen  this much of the workroom floor in months :-)

An added benefit is that not only can I pretty much see where everything is, it is much more relaxing to work back here now.  Of course, I know this won't last for long....

  1. Oh I know that feeling so well! I'm currently still in procrastination mode as I don't know to where to actually put half the stuff!

Would love a closer look at your teddies and dolls on the back of the sofa.

  8. I envy your accomplishment. I am about to hire a professional organizer/de-clutterer. I am too old to entangle the job by myself. It totally got out of hand....LOL...LOL..LOl..I am a retired teacher super craftaholic who just discovered your fantabulous blog and is signing up with the hope to have enough time on this earth to visit all of it. I doubt I will accomplish this, but it is certainly a great self motivating goal...not that I need the motivation, but Ooooh! do I need the energy. Time goes so fast!!! It is TRUE!!! the older we get the slower we go!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking the time to share your skills and great talent. You have made this old woman very happy. I wish I could live next door to you. Ha! YOU DON'T!!! I LOVE YOUR GARDEN!!!! Children, Flowers and Crafts are my passion in live. I reside in the heart of the hot Southwest and our flora needs much care and courage. The desert bugs are too pesky and poisonous plus the ever blowing sand and dust is too allergy stimulating. So, I make all kinds of flowers in all kinds of media. I do splurge in house flowering plants off and on so to keep flower company. So if I lived next door to you I would enjoy your looking at the fruit of gardening labor. Thank you again and I will be looking at your blog pages. I am a night owl ...or should I say, I lead the life of a vampire!!! ooooooooh! It is 5:50 a.m. and the sun is about to come up which means the husband is up and since the snoring stopped I can now go to sleep...LOL...LOL..LOL..I am looking forward to look at more pages in your blog. I had a fantastic night!!!! Thank your ...thank you...thank you.....

  9. I'm so envious of your work space. I just bought my first house and cannot wait to set up an area just for my crochet/hobbies. I love your blog and your dolls. Thank you so much for sharing!

    1. Thank you, Amanda; I must admit it is nice to have a 'space' all to one's self. It doesn't have to be big, or designer quality. Just a space to work and dream :-)

  10. Joyce, I am so touched by your words.

"The magic of make." It truly is magical that a hook, or two sticks, and a ball of yarn can create happiness, not only in the maker, but in those that receive what is made.

So lets continue making magic, one doll at a time :-)

    In friendship,

    Beth

    1. Thanks so much for stopping by, Natalie Jo! Especially with all the work you've been doing in your own home. One room is nothing as compared to the whole house :-)
