Happy Halloween!!

Minerva Wormwood is my latest Nancy Ann remake, one of the dear dolls sent to me by my good friend Tomi :-)  The time of the year just begged for a Halloween doll, so Minerva was born.

Minerva's outfit is a purchased pattern written for Mattel's Kelly doll (Barbie's very little sister), from Helga Kraft.  I tweaked it ever so slightly to fit a slightly taller and slightly pudgier doll.  However, I can share with you Minerva's Halloween mask, which should fit similarly sized dolls like small BJD's, Riley, and others.

Have a frightfully fun Halloween!

  2. OMG Ms. Beth, can it get any cuter. The scenery is sweet.

I confess, I'm ADDICTED TOO! I say this in the most loving possible way...it's all your fault, and I love it. I bought eight of the Nancy Ann story book dolls, to be rescued. I will post the work in progress some time tomorrow.

    Thank you for inspiring me,
    Carolyn

  3. And Happy Halloween to you too, my dear friend! I know how 'entangled' curious cats can be with any holiday decorations...Snitzl does look like the very devil :-)

  4. This is adorable! I love the idea for the doll stand, too. I made one by bending wire, just so I can place them in many different poses, however I really like the idea of a little stand plus play area. It's adorable. I have posted a few of the dolls I have made with your patterns on Ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Decolin and I have posted them on my facebook. Your patterns are so much fun to make. I tweaked them a bit in order to accommodate my own personal crocheting techniques, however I have found that your patterns are so easy to follow it is an easy thing to do. Thank you for your wonderful and generous spirit.

  5. I wanted to add, I adore your fun foam house and the creative treatment of the tree. It's the best ever! It has given me inspiration for my gingerbread crafting for Christmas. You are so talented!

    1. I have to come clean on the foam houses...they are from Michaels! Very cheap, and really a lot of fun to put together; great props for the little dolls as well.

I will have to check out your dolls on Ravelry! I am delighted you have enjoyed making them, and tweaking them to make them your very own :-)

      Warmly,

      Beth
