Another great Lionbrand cowl

There she is again!   Here is another great cowl pattern from Lionbrand.  This is the Supernova Cowl, crocheted from Vanna's Choice Glamour.  Glamour is a light sportweight yarn with a fine strand of metallic wrapped around the core yarn.

This cowl made up beautifully; I wish you could see the subtle sparkle the metallic gives this look.   The cowl is 60 inches long, with the short ends crocheted or sewn together.  This yields a lot of versatility.  You can wear it long like a shawl, wrapped once or twice around your neck, or pulled up to cover your hair.   The v-stitch gives a lot of drape.  Simple and lovely to make, this will be a great Christmas gift :-)

  1. I'm also making a cowl at the moment- the lionbrand Time Out Cowl one, which also uses the V stitch.
    Yours is just lovely.

  8. This is one of my fav yarns...have made gloves, scarves and wrist warmers with it, and hope to try some holiday socks....I think they would be awesome and love the extra stretch and bounce in the yarn.

The cowl is really lovely....might need to try that one for myself!

  10. Lovely! I think I might have to make one of these for myself as soon as I finish the 3 button shawl I'm knitting for my Mom.

  16. It has been awhile Beth since I have stopped in and checked to see what is new with you and I can see that you have been keeping yourself quite busy. Love the cowl, love the color. Isn't Vanna Yarn one of the nicest ones to work with? I have never made anything with the sport weight, only the worsted weight, and it is so soft. I made a blanket with it and gave it to my mother. She loves it!

  17. Hi Susanne!

Glamour was lovely to crochet with, and made up beautifully. I love unstructured crochet for gifting :-) So glad you stopped by.
