I am so sorry for your loss. Our furbabies become such an important member of our families. When our little shih-tzu, "Piper", passed over the rainbow bridge it broke my heart. I found peace through prayer. I know our beloved pets go to heaven, for God loves those furry beings. You are in my prayers
What a sweetie! So sorry she is no longer with you, but the memories will be sweet. Just counted up - I've had 26 cats in my life and, though only 2 are with me now, each has been a different and much loved character. Remembering them brings me great happiness.
So sorry, Beth. They are like our children and I know how difficult it is to say good-bye. We recently adopted another feral cat—actually, I think she actually did the adopting. It’s always up to the feral cat as to whether they make that step to becoming a part of the family. We fed the wild young kitty for just about two years outdoors, along with some other feral cats that hadn’t yet been adopted. This cat is so incredibly hyper that we could not make a definitive choice as to whether the cat was male or female. We guessed that the cat was male and, because he is gray (and identical to your Sapphire—truly!🤗), we named him Grayson, an apt name. However, when Grayson got tired of freezing in below zero temperatures, we were able to coax him in. It wasn’t until a few months later that I was able to finally make a more precise analysis, as he had learned to slow down long enough to receive his cozy petting. Grayson is actually a girl! My husband isn’t terribly keen about the female name I gave her—Gray-daughter. But what are you going to do? We compromise often by simply calling her Gray. I hope that you have another cat to cuddle with, Beth. I don’t think that I could survive this world without cats to comfort me. We have been very blessed by many sweet animals throughout the years. Some of them come inside, out of the wild, wanting a human family. As much as I love all animals, we always need to explain to these that they have families waiting for them in the woods around our home. The cats, dogs and others no longer have families, so they need us. But I always give them a shout when I’m out and about amongst the wild flowers and trees. 🥰
:(... hugs my dear Beth

ReplyDeleteCats are such an integral part of the family and losing a family member is so difficult. Take time to mourn. Thing of you.
