This nightgown pattern was created several years ago, when I was first bitten by the Bleuette bug. I'm posting the pattern here, but it may be a bit rough.
It will fit both Reproduction and crocheted Bleuette. If you are not familiar with the Love Knot stitch, I recommend looking it up in a good crochet stitch dictionary, or Google it for instructions. I can do the stitch, but I'm not the best person to try to explain it!
Enjoy the day, and enjoy the crochet :-)
Hi Beth,
ReplyDeleteThis is just lovely. I'm going to try and crochet one of your Bluette dolls. I did find a great deal on Vanna's Choice yarn at our local Walmart.
Thanks for the share.

I'm making the crochet bleuette pattern. I'm on row 19 of the body. But I'm confused. When it says "sc in the first st (two sc in the next st) three times" is that over the course of 6 stitches? if now how is that supposed to go. How my row looked was I had 24 stitches from row 18. I'm going to list how I did the stitches and number them to imply which stitch from the previous row these went into.
ReplyDelete1. sc
2 two sc
3 sc
4 two sc
5 sc
6 two sc
7 sc
8 two sc
9 sc
10 two sc
11 sc
12 two sc
this is where i run into a conundrum because the rest of the row says to do scs in the last 16 stitches but I only had 12 stitches left.
Oh it is so pretty. Thank you for sharing the pattern.
ReplyDeleteHello AT,
ReplyDeleteYou are not the only one to be confused by this. Here is what is intended: you sc in the first sc, then you work the instructions within the parenthesis three times. You sc in the next st, then work the instructions within the next parenthesis three times. This should leave you with 16 stitches remaining.
Does this help? If not, let me know and I'll have another go at explaining!
Beth
Yes, that helps. Thanks.
DeleteGreat :-)

Hi Beth, I got bitten by the Bleuette bug earlier this year and I think this outfit looks beautiful on her. I love looking at the designs on your blog. Problem is I can't crotchet, at least I have never tried. I guess I just have too many projects lined up, and learning crochet is last on the list. One of these days...
ReplyDeleteThank you for your good words, Lizzie :-) For me, crochet is much easier than knitting, but I enjoy both. It is well worth the time to learn the simple stitches, like single crochet and double crochet. Most of the patterns on this blog use only the most simple of stitches.
ReplyDeleteBut, doing what YOU enjoy is the most important thing :-)
Beth
what size doll is this beautiful nightie for?
